Mura Masa Drops Captivating New Single “Second 2 None” Feat. Christine And The Queens

Mura Masa is certainly keeping the anticipation for his debut, self-titled album high. The young artist has gifted us with various singles and remixes throughout the entire month of June, most recently teaming up with Gorillaz creator Damon Albarn to drop “Blu.” Not even 24 hours later and Mura Masa has blessed us once again, this time with an infectiously smooth new single “Second 2 None” feat. Christine and the Queens.

Mura Masa takes a less is more approach with “Second 2 None,” a much-appreciated move that makes for a clean production and allows the elements he utilizes to shine. A tropical steel drum melody stands out throughout the entire track, dominating the lead-in and appearing at various other parts of the song at the perfect time. A distorted vocal lead, minimalistic bass and those steel drums comprise the relaxed drop, with Letissier’s captivating voice shining throughout.

Mura Masa’s debut album is set to drop July 14, and “Second 2 None” is yet another reason to look forward to it. Stream the single below and enjoy!

YehMe2 Shares Heavy Bass Remix of XXXTentacion's "Looking For A Star"

Chicago-based producer and formerly 1/2 of Flosstradamus YehMe2 is currently a name to watch in the bass music scene with his out-of-the-box style showcased on his tracks. His first introduction to TSIS was through the mini-mix he did as part of Jayceeoh's "Super 7 Vol. 7" mix series we premiered last month. Now he's released an impressive remix of XXXTentacion's "Looking For A Star" maintains the quirky albeit heavy vibe of previous releases.

YehMe2 has managed to turn the Diplo-produced hip-hop track into a dark trap banger. He expertly chops XXXTentacion's vocals to create a complex lead melody, backed by heavy bass and pungent snares. YehMe2 throws in double-time percussion for the second drop, changing up the vibe while keeping the energy. Be on the lookout for more from YehMe2, listen to his remix of "Looking For A Star" below, and enjoy!

Viceland Shares Hilarious Trailer For Diplo x James Van Der Beek’s Upcoming Comedy Series “What Would Diplo Do?”

Just over a year ago, Diplo released a hilarious Mad Decent Block Party promo video in which James Van Der Beek played the part of the Philly-hailing producer in a "Day In The Life of Diplo". It was later announced that Viceland picked up the idea and had began working on an entire TV show centered around Van Der Beek as Diplo. Yesterday, Viceland finally shared a trailer for their forthcoming series, "What Would Diplo Do?".

“WWDD” looks like it’s going to be absolutely hilarious. The trailer shows Van Der Beek as Diplo doing ridiculous things like throwing a violin into a blender, being stripped naked by a locked hotel room door and even fighting ninjas with a sword. While the trailer has appearances from Dillon Francis as well as actors Dora Madison, Bobby Lee and others, we can only hope that they’ll stick around for the entirety of the six-part series.

Van Der Beek will be working as actor, writer and producer for “What Would Diplo Do”, Viceland’s first scripted series to date. The mockumentary style series will premiere on August 3rd on Viceland. Check out the full trailer below and enjoy!

Zeds Dead have been on fire this summer, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The duo just celebrated a successful fourth annual Dead Rocks event, where they teased a masterful new collaboration with Illenium, much to the excitement of attendees. Just prior to this they announced a massive tour that will bring a music festival-caliber level of artists around the country with them, with the lineup varying based on the city. Today Zeds Dead have kept their momentum with DEADBEATS RADIO #002, the second edition of Deadbeats’s radio show, which aired yesterday on SiriusXM’s Electric Area Channel.

The show was once again hosted by Zeds Dead themselves, with the duo taking listeners on an hour-long journey of both heavy and chill tracks. The two weave in a handful of their own songs, such as their remix of “Slow Down,” but mostly keep the attention on various other producers’ releases, like Feed Me’s epic remix of deadmau5’s “Strobe” and Boombox Cartel’s single “Jefe.” Altogether the mix is an impressive collection of popular songs, throwbacks and some lesser known material. Check it out below and enjoy!

It’s been a while since we’ve had the chance to share any new Ricky Remedy on the site, but that’s just changed. The Miami-based producer has been silently working on a new project and today, we have the pleasure of premiering one of his newest tracks, “Chosen” featuring Diplo & Tunji Ige.

For this latest offering, Ricky Remedy has teamed up with Diplo and fellow Philly-based artist Tunji Ige (whose voice you may recognize from GTA & What So Not’s "Feel It"). Starting off fast, “Chosen”, jumps straight into a quick, pumping intro and a snare-driven rise. Tunji Ige’s delivers some skittering verses before the track shoots into a powerful two-part drop filled with energetic percussion, bouncy synths and a booming 808.

Listen to the new track below and check out Ricky Remedy’s full Reflex EP, out now on Mad Decent. Enjoy!

Zombie Juice of Flatbush Zombies has stepped out on his own for a brand new song and video for “Lava”. Aside from a new remix adding Snoop Dogg to “Palm Trees” and a remix of Portugal. The Man's hit single "Feel It Still" we haven’t really heard new music from the Zombies in a while.

Juice teams up with the FBZ in-house producer Erick the Architect on production, and the two do not disappoint. As great of chemistry the FBZ have together, t’s exciting to see Juice step out to drop a solo track especially since it’s sounding as great as it is. The track comes along with a great video capturing the frantic, menacing vibe of the track as Juice hangs out of the window of a flaming car and appears alongside his FBZ members. Check out the video below and enjoy!

Take Video Tour Of Deadmau5's Epic Studio

From his intricate live setup, consisting of his Cube 2.1 and signature LED mau5 helmet, to live streams and MasterClass tutorials, Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 is undoubtedly a tech-head. If there were any more reasoning needed, Linus Sebastian has taken us on a tour of Deadmau5 house/studio and solidified him as a tech guru. Linus Tech Tips gives us the lowdown on this video, reminiscent of an episode of MTV Cribs.

Linus starts us off in Deadmau5’s “master bedroom,” which is actually a Dolby Atmos mix studio, under construction for three years and counting. He has an A-100 Analog Modular System and over a dozen synthesizers, many with their own unique stories. For instance, his JUNO-106, which is normally over $1,500, was bought for $20 at a pawn shop. Additionally, his JUPITER-8 and prophet-10 are nearly impossible to come by nowadays since many of their parts are no longer made. He even has the original ARP 2600 synthesizer used for R2D2’s voice in the Star Wars movies. Linus tells us, “This one that folds up in a briefcase right here...This is R2D2. I don’t mean this is the same model that was R2D2. This was R2D2. It still works!”

Deadmau5’s basement doubles as a “LAN Center,” consisting of five PCs, custom-built to match each of his cars; he uses these for both gaming and rendering graphics for his live shows. He and his team have developed custom software used to sync audio and visual effects, which they prepare in the studio using a giant touch screen and then bring with them on tour to run the show. This is just a glimpse of Deadmau5’s epic studio, and Linus goes into more technical detail in the video. Check it out for yourself below and enjoy!

Four Tet Releases Must Hear Chill New Single "Two Thousand and Seventeen"

Aside from a few recent remixes, Four Tet has been quiet as of late. Well that just changed with the release of his absolutely incredible new track “Two Thousand and Seventeen”.

Real name Kieran Hebden, Four Tet also made the exciting announcement that he will be releasing a new album later this year. If the project is anything like this new single, we can’t wait. On this latest release he masterfully creates a relaxing tune with layers of ambient synths, a rumbling bassline and is highlighted by distorted worldly string plucks that I just can’t get enough of. Here he goes back to his roots and kills the downtempo sound he first became known for. Stream below and enjoy!

The trio behind Opia have released their first packaged offering with their debut EP Faded which includes tracks such as “Secrets” and “Devil In Disguise”. Opia is an indie electronic group that consists of three guys who met in college and decided to make music in an underground studio. There is Cole on guitars/vocals, DJ Stanfill on a keyboard/vocals and colorthought behind the production of the project. The three together have developed a unique and bright sound that is heard throughout Faded and that we are absolutely digging.

"Faded EP was inspired by a time of transitions--from college to LA, from one relationship to the next, from adolescence to adulthood. “Faded” is about recognizing both the parts of ourselves that fade during these transitions, and the new parts that add color and meaning to the future as we grow." - Opia

The group is slated to support Whethan on his Good Nights Tour starting in September, the list of tour dates can be seen below. Until then, their Faded EP should be able to hold you over… Enjoy!

Rising artist Reo Cragun is undoubtedly one of our favorite new rapper / singers right now and he continues to show off why he should be taken seriously with his latest track “Night Crawler.”

Everything Reo has done so far has impressed us and this new one is no different. This follows up his incredible tracks “Inconsiderate”, “Peso” and “Lost” that we actually premiered and did an interview with him for as well as other great releases. His hybrid style of singing and rapping is similar to Bryson Tiller, but I actually prefer Reo’s tracks. The slow-rolling instrumental places the focus on his airy vocals as he continues to show off his versitility. Stream below and enjoy!

There’s no stopping Louis Futon with these flip videos. He’s been doing these beat challenges where fans recommend songs for him to flip into a new remix, and this time around he’s taken on Chance The Rapper’s “Blessings.

We’ve heard him flip Biggie, Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar, and now he’s back for more. He really works his magic on each of these and this one is no different. He samples the soulful vocals from the original slicing it up to make it his own before adding drums, piano + organ, live percussion, trumpet and guitar. Like his other beat challenges, he’s also provided a full video showing how he made the track. He's also now shared the track on Soundcloud with a free download as well. See below and enjoy!

While it’s no secret Deadmau5 is one of the most active people on social media, he seems to be increasingly busy recently. Just a few days ago, we got a virtual tour of his colossal home studio with Linus Tech Tips. Deadmau5 also just announced his upcoming fall tour, which in typical fashion is dubbed “lots of shows in a row: pt 2.” As of now, the tour will be taking place almost exclusively in Canada, but the one show in particular that has caught our attention is the only U.S. show announced so far.

On Friday October 20, Deadmau5 is bringing the tour to Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Deadmau5 just released his new album Stuff I Used To Do earlier this year, which is a compilation of his older material. For his “lots of shows in a row: pt 2” tour, he seems to be continuing to promote his album W:/2016ALBUM/, which was released in December. We can certainly expect songs from this album at his Red Rocks show, and knowing Deadmau5, there will likely be some classics and surprises thrown into the mix including his new stage setup.

Deadmau5 tells fans on Twitter, “keep an eye out horde, pt 2 tickets go on sale later this week.” You can sign up and grab tickets for any of the shows on his tour when they become available here. Enjoy!

This nonstop spree of singles seemingly has no end in sight as the duo have given fans more content over the past few months than they have in years. "Higher Ground" captures the chilled-out vibe we've come to love from ODESZA over the years as the thumping percussion highlights the tune accompanied by Naomi's dreamy vocals, gentle soundscapes and distorted strings making for a unique track we'll surely be coming back to. The Brooklyn duo behind Brasstracks have transformed Lil Uzi Vert’s massive single “XO TOUR Llif3” into absolute funk-heat, filled with dominating horns and standout drums in typical Brasstracks fashion. This is already the second incredible cover coming from Brasstracks in 2017, following their rendition of Kanye’s “All Of The Lights” last month.

Brasstracks have developed an identifiable sound that can be heard on tunes such as “Get Your Way” and “Melanin Man”, blending instrumentation with production seamlessly. The latest offering from Brasstracks exhibits their ability to put their signature twist on anything as they completely flip Lil Uzi Vert’s track into a soulful instrumental track while still keeping the integrity of the original.
